We traveled to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan with Silk Road Treasure Tours in September 2023 to celebrate a milestone birthday and a long-held dream to travel that section of The Silk Road. Our trip exceeded expectations in every way.

Zulya Rajabova and her team in Central Asia countries are exceptional in their overall organization and attention to detail. As we had a private trip, we could be flexible and take advantage of spontaneous events – a pop-up light show in Samarkand, an unexpected regional pageant to celebrate the opening of a new archaeology site in Bukhara, a conversation with a cotton farmer — as well as visiting the sites on our itinerary. There were so many highlights, but two stand out – Diane’s amazing birthday party at the home of Zulya’s parents and our visit to an English class at a local school in Bukhara. These connections and memories will stay with us long after we’ve forgotten the precise location of a building.

We highly recommend Zulya Rajabova and her team at Silk Road Treasure Tours to arrange your Central Asia tours. If you let them know your interests, they will create for you an unforgettable Silk Road journey.
