After an early morning arrival or a restful overnight, your day begins with a leisurely breakfast overlooking Ashgabat’s manicured gardens and white marble skyline. At 9 AM, your private guide will lead you beyond the city limits to the ancient heart of Parthian civilization. At Nissa Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will wander through the weathered remains of royal citadels, temples, and tombs dating back to the 3rd century BC. For lunch, you will pause at Mado Restaurant, an oasis of Turkmen hospitality where aromatic soups, savory dumplings, and crisp salads delight the senses. Along the way, you may spot herds of wild camels tracing the ancient Silk Road paths. By twilight, the surreal glow of the Darvaza Gas Crater, famously called the “Door to Hell,” appears like a vision from another world — a massive pit of flame that has burned unceasingly for over forty years. You will spend the night near this natural wonder, cocooned in a private yurt camp beneath a canopy of stars. Dinner is freshly prepared over open fire — local lamb, grilled vegetables, warm bread, and fragrant tea — all enjoyed beside the flickering flames of the crater and the gentle melodies of Turkmen folk songs drifting through the desert night.
The next morning, we will return to Ashgabad.
