Christian Howes & Catherine Noyes, May 2017
Zulya Rajabova arranged a fantastic deep dive visit to Uzbekistan for my wife and I this past month. Even though we changed our dates last minute and we were there for the busiest tourist week in spring, everything went smoothly.
The guides and drivers were interesting, fun and flexible. Their pride in Uzbekistan culture and knowledge of Central Asia history and Silk Road tradition helped demonstrate how integral Uzbekistan was as part of the Silk Road, connecting so many cultures, religions and languages for thousands of years. Both the ancient and Russian/Soviet history made for fascinating tales well told and the atmosphere of growth and development there is obvious.
The accommodations were comfortable, the Uzbek food wonderful (and plentiful!) and the hospitality outstanding. Extra care in the form of bespoke services like special shopping opportunities in an ancient cities of Bukhara, Samarkand, introductions to local and international business people, meeting the national rugby coach (one of my passions) and even urgent medical care for a back issue made our Uzbekistan trip a life event.
Uzbekistan is wonderful, friendly, safe place to visit. Zulya Rajabova and her team at Silk Road Treasure Tours made every day a treasure. We will highly recommend this Central Asia Travel company to everyone who is looking for the lifetime memories.
