Jewels of Central Asia Travel
Exciting, amazing, informative, and exotic are just a few of the adjectives that describe our trip to Central Asia in October 2015. Having previously heard about trips to the "Stans", we searched and found Silk Road Treasure Tours. And what a terrific find it was! The historical sites and monuments in Uzbekistan were amazing, and the people warm, friendly, and hospitable. The meals were quite good, with locally-grown vegetables that were some of the freshest we've ever tasted. Wonderful encounters included meeting schoolchildren throughout the country, plenty of local bazaar shopping, a fashion show with traditional music in Bukhara, and seeing children in ornate traditional costumes dancing in the middle of alleys in the walled city of Khiva. Furthermore, friends back in America still marvel at the unbelievable photos taken of the ultramodern, white marble capital city of Ashgabat we saw in Turkmenistan.
Ms. Zulya Rajabova provided professional, hassle-free tour arrangement services, helped secure our visas, and answered our questions quickly; all-in-all making for a highly enjoyable and memorable trip to a truly unique part of the world. Ms. Zulya Rajabova is not only a competent tour organizer, but we now feel like friends. Due to time constraints, we only visited two of the Stans but look forward to other future opportunities with her tour company, such as the trip she offers to the Caucasus.
