Professor Jo-Ann Gross

In May-June, 2010 and again in 2013 The College of New Jersey sponsored a special Maymester Student-Faculty Silk Road Study-Tour to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, which I co-taught with a colleague from the History Department. I am a specialist in the history of early modern and modern Central Asia, have traveled extensively in the region, and wanted to work with a tour agency that would allow me to organize the kind of educational cultural experience that fit the needs of my students and faculty. Zulya Rajabova, president of Silk Road Treasure Tours, far exceeded all my expectations.
